It’s not enough that he sleeps in bed wrapped in metres of cable and with two tubes fixed to his throat…

And this is what personal Leo’s signature looks like!!!!!
image
The autograph signing starts with the letter O,
then comes an E or an L – that depends,
and finally L (or E) :))

The biggest success this summer is Leovocalisation
– Leo started to use his voice in communication purposes!!!
He has mastered the following phrases:
Nie (no), or e-e – definitely his favourite, definitely overused;
Mama (mom) – sometimes it sounds more like baba (Eng. woman),
usually used in response to Leomom’s request:
Leo, clear out your toys, please -
Leo shakes his head and says:
 – E-e, Mama;
Tata(dad) – this one is still a bit clumsy;
A babababa K. (grandmom Krysia);
A bababababa E. (grandmom Ela);
Dziadzia (Granddaddy);
Am-am (this is said most loudly and clearly, with nodding!!!);
Da-da (a walk);
Ajajajaj (etymology and meaning unknown);
Gaga (for everything Leo can’t say or name, he uses the word gaga.
Leofamily lives in a one huge gaga);
Bam (he loves when stuff falls);
Additionally, he can read letters out loud (btw, he mastered the alphabet a few months ago):
- A, B, K, D, E, G, I, Y, M
Plus he knows how to write some of them, but this is a different story ;-)

WWith the end of September, Leofamily finishes their summer trips season during which little baby Leo has transformed into a big boy with scratches on his legs, scabbed knees, a bump on his forehead.

For the last 3,5 months he was constantly on the road.
He accompanied his parents on their work and leisure trips, and in total he covered approximately 5000 km – that is 1/8 of the length of the Equator, or the distance from Warszawy to Benin :)
He was at the seaside and in the mountains, at a lake, river and a water reservoir,
in a city and in the countryside, in the forest and at the beach.
In Beskidy, Tatra and Pieniny Monuntains; in
Krakow, Zakopane, Sopot; in Kashubia and Masuria.
In Ińsko, Rańsk and Pcim (!)
At a music and film festivals,
dance workshops and discussion panel, in a ZOO and botanical garden, at a folklore fair and African wedding, in a mountain hostel, and a choir concert.
He had bonfires and barbecues;
he was on a boat and rode a bike; ate pears from a tree and picked mushrooms;
he touched pigs’ snouts and cows’ udders,
waded in rye and snow; he rolled in the grass; went on a cable-railway ride;
explored caves and valleys, bathed in a lake, in the sea, in a river and in puddles; he reached the tower at Wieżyca Mountain and the peak of Kasprowy Wierch (well, let’s say so); he watched storks, swallows, chamoises, saw a sunset and a Moonrise.
And with this baggage of experiences he enters his preschool year.
The schedule is going to be tight:
early development support sessions twice a week,
physiotherapy twice a week, speech therapy once a week,
and one music preschool session…

The fearless mountain conqueror,
that is the firs trekking
before reaching the Seven Summits :)

It’s been three days now that a very important operation is going on: invisible sand transportation!
The loading takes place at the right side of the coach, where a green (and perfectly visible) truck is being loaded with cargo. Then, it pulls out (very carefully, not to loose a single grain), and goes to a building site (invisible).
Once it reaches the left side, it stops, lowers the loading platform and unloads the sand onto an invisible heap.

There’s no more left! (A hand gesture.)
All the sand is unloaded, and the truck is empty!
Look mommy, empty!
Yes, Leo, empty!
The truck goes back and rushes to the loading site…

And this goes on.

Imagination knows no limits…

Still from "Neverending story"

More or less a month ago, Leoparents witnessed a scene they cannot forget since.
This is what happened in front of their eyes:

Leo entered the kitchen with confidence, and goes straight to the fridge.
He opens the door and stares for a few seconds scanning through the contents, and then he reaches for a bottle (of milk), opens it, and puts the cap on the kitchen counter.
He drinks from the bottle…

The question is: where is their little helpless son?
How did he become this self-contained guy? And when?

The sucking troubles brought Leofamily to the seaside,
where it turned out that it doesn’t matter that the water is icy cold and that autumn is almost here :) photo-2 photo-2 copy

The rule is this: if Leo’s equipment breaks down,
it’s always the worst possible moment.
Like whe Leofamily is on holiday, in the middle of a forest,
about 500 km from “their” hospital and there is no way to get anyone to come with a backup.
And we have to do a super complicated and time-consuming operation to get substitute equipment.
This time the sucking device broke down.
The clock is ticking, our hearts is in our mouths,
Leo’s nose is full of snot,
and the relaxing time is over.
